Universal Gas & Electric are being "Picked" at by a few people who think they are a scam company, just because the "CONSUMER" failed to read clearly what they were getting themselves into. I think they have been restructuring because I myself spoke with their offices in Ontario and they assured me of what I had signed. Thankfully I did not cancel and now I'm saving a lot of money now. Prices went up 2 months after I signed. I don't see how it's misleading, if you read it you wouldn't think that. People should always read before signing anything, and that applies to everything not just this. Thats how people get into deeper troubles.

look at your gas price on your july bill, dte is 1.07. glad i signed at .99 last spring. :grin

How about this they just had cancel my business contract after two years even thogh had it for five years because price is goen up. They are real scammers. they took my money while price were down now since price goen up they are no longer on my gas bill.

You are correct Dawn. This company is not American. They are a canadian company. In my opinion, they were most likely brought here by our lovely canadian governor Granholm

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'm sure your an employee or a sales rep or the relative of someone who works there. The people who are running this show are probably not even Amercian in the first place. You know its a bate and switch, you know the sales person wants their paycheck so they say anything to make the sale. It is a scam and when the company goes under and does not provide service anymore. What then? oh wait... they have everyones money already. They will just take a Holiday on everyone elses sorrow. Shame on you for trying to back these people up.

I must say that whoever wrote this article apparently has their head where the sun don't shine. I agree wtih Jeb about the scamming. I was scammed, and so were many others. Universal G&E deserve to rot in jail or atleast get an old fashioned school yard butt whoopin

Perhaps I was too brash to complain, but one must admit that a bill of over $200 for May is quite a shock when you were paying less than $80 per month then your budget plan jumps by almost 30%. What other conclusion can you arrive at than you were scammed. :upset
